Dr Darren Cai

Darren created Crownfidence to help dentists not just prep better crowns, but build the confidence to back their clinical decisions - with clarity, skill, and presence.
Since graduating, Darren has worked across Sydney, Adelaide, and now Perth, gaining first-hand insight into the real challenges dentists face at every stage of their journey. He has completed extensive CPD with a strong focus on indirect restorative dentistry and is currently finalising his Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry through the Australasian College of Dental Practitioners.
His training has taken him across Australia and overseas - learning from masters in Japan, India, and beyond. Each experience, from the lecture theatre to the clinic, has shaped the classes he delivers today. They’re not just theory-heavy or overly technical - they’re grounded in the day-to-day realities of clinical dentistry - full of real wins, real struggles, and real growth.
Dr Olivier Nguyen

Olivier is the co-creator of Crownfidence, developed alongside Darren - a workshop born from their shared vision to help dentists grow in both clinical skill and confidence.
After graduating, Olivier worked full-time at one of Adelaide’s busiest practices, known for its strong focus on crowns, bridges, and onlays. He also returned to The University of Adelaide as a clinical tutor for the final-year Dentistry students, combining combining clinical excellence with a passion for mentorship.
He later co-founded Saint & Spire, a communication-focused CPD course for dentists, and now works full-time as a Business Development and Education Manager at NSK Oceania. In this role, he travels across Australia supporting clinicians, running CPD events, and mentoring the next generation of dentists
From the clinic to the classroom, Olivier brings clarity, connection, and care to every course he teaches.
